Wooster Announces Updated Spectator Policies

College of Wooster students, faculty, and staff who are part of the College's regular testing program are welcome to attend our home events, starting March 12. The College of Wooster is excited to welcome members of the campus community (College of Wooster students, faculty, and staff) to our home athletic contests with the following considerations:

 
  • Effective March 12, 2021, Wooster students, faculty, and staff who are part of the College's regular testing program are welcome to attend our home events. 

  • We are sorry that we cannot invite families and other fans at this time as visitors to campus are currently limited to admissions or interviews and other critical campus operations.   

  • All events are closed to visiting team fans until further notice. 

  • Venue capacity will be limited to 30%, where applicable unless otherwise indicated. 

  • Masking and social distancing will be required.     

  • All attendees must show valid College of Wooster ID and "good to go badge" for entry and/or as requested by the game manager on site 

Socially distanced seating will be available in designated areas for sports/venues either on a first-come, first-served basis or via a team pass list, as indicated below: 

  • Baseball – Art Murray Field: first-come, first-served basis

  • Basketball – Timken Gymnasiumteam pass list - one guest per athlete (two per senior) 

  • Field Hockey – John Papp Stadium: first-come, first-served basis

  • Football – John Papp Stadium: first-come, first-served basis

  • Golf – Wooster Country Club only: team pass list; one guest per athlete 

  • Lacrosse - John Papp Stadium: first-come, first-served basis 

  • Softball – Galpin Park: first-come, first-served basis

  • Tennis (outside) – D.J. Hard Tennis Courts: first-come, first-served basis

  • Tennis (inside) - Aspen Racquet Club: team pass list; one guest per athlete  

  • Track and Field – John Papp Stadium: first-come, first-served basis 

  • If field events move inside the Scot Center due to inclement weather, there will be no spectators permitted inside.  

  • Soccer – John Papp Stadium: first-come, first-served basis

  • Swimming and Diving – no spectator seating available   

  • Volleyball – Timken Gymnasium: invited guest list; one guest per athlete (two per senior) 

The health and safety of The College of Wooster student-athletes, coaches, and staff is the highest priority during the coronavirus pandemic. We recognize that families and friends are eager to watch our contests in person, and we will continue to evaluate our capacity for opening our events more broadly. In the meantime, we remain committed to livestreaming as many events as possible. The streaming schedule can be found on our schedule pages at www.woosterathletics.com 

The College of Wooster and its athletics program are committed to COVID-19 guidance and mitigation measures shared by the Ohio Department of Health, the Wayne County Health Department, and the CDC. Athletics references NCAA guidance and that of the North Coast Athletic Conference in shaping its testing and operational strategies, including the NCAA's updated Resocialization of Collegiate Sport: Developing Standards for Practice and Competition, Second Edition.
