Tom Love

For nearly four decades Tom Love has overseen the sports medicine needs of Wooster’s student-athletes as the College’s head athletic trainer. The 2018-19 season marks Love’s 37th at the College, and the primary sports he covers are baseball, men’s basketball, field hockey, and men’s soccer.

Prior to Wooster, Love served as the head athletic trainer at Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio for two years.

Love graduated with a Master of Education degree in community health education from the University of Cincinnati in 1980, and earned his Bachelor of Science in health education from Tennessee Technological University in 1979.

Love earned his National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification in 1980 and his licensure as an Ohio athletic trainer in 1992. In 1994, Love was selected as the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Collegiate Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Personally, Love is married to Rose, and has two grown children – Cathy and Chris.
