The College of Wooster's Eddie Reese was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts during the last five games of the team's Florida trip last week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Reese batted .455 (10-for-22) during the five-game stretch with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and maybe most impressive, 14 RBI. He produced multiple RBI in each game and recorded his second four-hit game of the year, going 4-for-6 with three RBI and three stolen bases against the University of Wis.-Platteville. During his last at bat in Florida, the senior outfielder belted a three-run homer versus Bethel (Minn.) University.

Through 12 games this season, Reese is hitting .308. He started an uncharacteristic 0-for-11, but has bounced back in a big way, going 16-for-41 since (.390), highlighted by a cycle, the first by a Wooster player since the 2001 season.

The Fighting Scots, after a successful 8-4 spring break trip, are scheduled to open NCAC East Division play this weekend against Kenyon College (8-6) with home doubleheaders starting at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
