The College of Wooster won three games in its series with Oberlin College over the weekend and pitcher Steve Hagen got the ball rolling with a complete-game shutout in the opener, which earned the senior North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher-of-the-Week honors, as announced by the league Monday.

Hagen was dominant against the Yeomen, as he tied a season-high with six strikeouts, while issuing two walks and scattering just seven hits over seven innings of work. It marked the second complete-game shutout of his career, with his other coming last spring against Wabash College.

Another key was run support, as the Fighting Scots' offense complimented Hagen's gem with 10 runs. In Hagen's previous seven starts this season, Wooster averaged only half of that production (5.1 runs).

Pitching against a challenging schedule, including four teams ranked in the D3baseball.com top-25, Hagen has compiled a 4-4 record with a 4.15 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 52 innings.

Hagen and the Scots (19-11) will kick off a six-game homestand on Tuesday when they welcome John Carroll University (18-10) to Art Murray Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
