Junior Michael Wielansky's monster week at the plate landed the second-ranked College of Wooster baseball team's shortstop on the D3baseball.com Team-of-the-Week, the popular website announced on Tuesday morning.

Wielansky "did it all" at the plate during a 5-1 week for the Fighting Scots, as the junior sensation slashed .655/.688/1.172, went 19-for-29 with nine extra base hits, scored 16 times, and knocked in 13 runs.

The junior's now hit safely in 12 straight games, and he had three games with at least four base knocks, including five during the Scots' 24-14 non-conference win at Muskingum University last Friday. The St. Louis, Mo. native added five RBI against the Fighting Muskies for his second straight five-RBI performance.

Wielansky moved into the program's top-10 list for career runs during the first game of Wooster's sweep over Oberlin College last week Wednesday, and he scored at least three runs in each of the first four contest on last week's docket.

Wielansky previously earned a spot on D3baseball.com's Team-of-the-Week as a rookie in 2016 for his play against Kenyon College, John Carroll University, and Oberlin.

Noteworthy, Wielansky's honor marks the fifth time Wooster's had a representative on the D3baseball.com Team-of-the-Week this year. Sophomore Dan Harwood has earned three weekly honors, and he was joined on the weekly team by senior Drew Tornow on April 10.

Wooster (25-4) is back in action at No. 12 Case Western Reserve University (25-6) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25.
