The honors keep rolling in for senior right-hander Jay DiBacco, who earned a spot on this week's D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his two-hit shutout during The College of Wooster's 14-0 win over fellow Mideast Region power Denison University on Saturday.

DiBacco, this week's North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, toed the rubber for game two of the four-game set and faced three batters over the minimum, while not allowing a Denison baserunner to reach scoring position until the final inning. Right after that happened, Justin Wernoski grounded into a game-ending 4-6-3 double play.

The biology major struck out a career-high six batters and retired 10 straight after yielding a leadoff single in the bottom of the first inning.

DiBacco's the first Wooster pitcher to make D3baseball.com's Team of the Week since Andrew Hill on April 23, 2019. Hill was honored for his no-hitter against Allegheny College.

Wooster's back in action on Saturday, April 3, when the Scots host Hiram College in the NCAC East Division opening-day twin bill. First pitch from Art Murray Field is set for noon.
