Dan Terhune, a senior defensive tackle for The College of Wooster, was selected to the D3football.com All-America Second Team, the website announced prior to the national championship of the NCAA Div. III Football Championship. It marked the second-straight season Terhune has been awarded as a second-team All-American.

Terhune, who joins defensive back Nick Hajjar (2002-03) and running back Tony Sutton (2003-04) as the only Fighting Scots to have been two-time All-Americans since the website began its honor in 1999, was among the top-50 in Div. III in both sacks (0.75 per game) and tackles for loss (1.65 per game) for the second year in a row. The 6-0, 270-pound interior lineman registered a career-high 62 tackles coming on 31 solos and 31 assists, as well as a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup.

Terhune's 7.5 sacks elevated his career total to 21.5, marking the third-most in team history (the most by a defensive tackle), and he also finished with 36.5 tackles for loss among his 142 total tackles during 34 games at Wooster.

D3football.com's 2011 All-America Team consisted of 102 of the top players from across NCAA Div. III.
