Kory George, a three-year starter on the offensive line for The College of Wooster, will play in the National Bowl, a senior all-star game for NCAA standouts from non-FBS schools, taking place on the campus of Florida International University in Miami, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 8.

George, the first Wooster player to participate in the fourth annual event, is one of 50 listed on the Red Nation's roster and will wear his familiar No. 79 jersey. Notable, he may be snapping the ball to fellow North Coast Athletic Conference student-athlete Mason Espinosa, the quarterback for Ohio Wesleyan University.

This past fall, George helped lead the Fighting Scots to one of their best offensive seasons in school history. At the beginning of the year, the 6-2, 290-pound lineman shifted from left tackle, where he had started for two seasons, to center as he played a key role in the unit's average of 443.6 yards of total offense – a program record – and 30.6 points.

Most impressive, George, a captain, played a key role in the team's significant turnaround as Wooster went 7-3 and finished third in the NCAC, a season after going 2-8 and tying for eighth-place.

For his career, George played in all 40 games with 30 starts – 12 at center, 15 at left tackle, and three at right tackle.

Kickoff Sunday is at noon. For more information, visit nationalbowlgame.org.
