Brandon James of The College of Wooster was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, for his work on special teams this past Saturday at No. 11 Wabash College, the popular website announced on Tuesday.

James, a senior strong safety, blocked a field goal on Wabash's first drive of the second half, and later in the third quarter, took a direct snap during a successful fake punt and went 46 yards, breaking multiple tackles down the right side line, before being pulled down inside the five-yard line. On the next snap, Wooster scored its first touchdown of the game to pull within 28-9.

In addition to his standout play on special teams, James tied for the team lead in tackles with 12, including one for a loss.

The Fighting Scots, who lost to the nationally-ranked Little Giants 35-16, will try to bounce back this week when they host Allegheny College Saturday at 1 p.m.
