The College of Wooster's D'Andre Brown's career day during the Fighting Scots' 27-21 win over Oberlin College on Saturday was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Monday, as the conference office tabbed the junior defensive tackle as its Defensive Player-of-the-Week.

Brown was unstoppable on Saturday with a career-high 10 tackles, five of which came in the Yeomen's backfield. Brown, who logged his second-career two-sack game, had a pair of forced fumbles. The first came on a 7-yard strip-sack in the first quarter in the red zone, and his second strip-sack of the game came at a key moment in the fourth quarter.

Brown also logged a breakup on a batted down pass in the second quarter.

Noteworthy, Wooster's now earned the league's weekly defensive honor in three of the seven weeks this season. Previously, junior Robert Alvarez earned the prize for his play against Bluffton University and sophomore Beau Greenwood intercepted the weekly honor with a pair of picks against DePauw University.

Wooster (3-3, 2-3 NCAC) hosts Hiram College (2-4, 1-4 NCAC) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
