2021 NFF Hampshire Honor Society Release

Seniors Eric Kraus and Brandon Vincenzo of The College of Wooster football team have been granted membership in the 2021 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced on Wednesday.

The Hampshire Honor Society is annually made up of seniors from all collegiate divisions who were a starter or significant contributor, achieved a minimum 3.2 GPA, and have concluded their playing career.

Kraus, a biochemistry and molecular biology major, was voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America® second team in 2019, when he started all 10 games at linebacker. That year, Kraus finished the year with 53 tackles, two shy of the team lead, and had 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack. Against Allegheny College, Kraus tallied a career-high 11 tackles a week removed from a nine-tackle afternoon in Wooster's 16-14 win over Ohio Wesleyan University. Kraus was a semifinalist for the most recent NFF Campbell Trophy, which is widely regarded as the academic Heisman.

Vincenzo, a business economics major, contributed in a variety of roles during his four years on the team. He made his collegiate debut at DePauw University in 2017 and was credited with a tackle during Wooster's 58-25 win at Hiram College that year. Vincenzo appeared in seven career games.

Over the last six years, 21 Wooster student-athletes have earned membership in the society.
