Cole Hissong is College Football America Yearbook's tight end selection for its Preseason Starting Lineup, which functions as the publication's preseason All-America team.

Cole Hissong, one of the premier tight ends in NCAA Div. III, was named to College Football America Yearbook's NCAA Div. III Preseason Starting Lineup over the weekend. The publication named one player at each position to its Preseason Starting Lineup.

During The College of Wooster's last full season, Hissong emerged as one of the most improved players in the region, evidenced by earning a spot on D3football.com's All-North Region Team. Hissong, who was also a first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection in 2019, ranked fifth in the conference with 527 receiving yards and tied for fifth with five touchdowns. Against, DePauw University, Hissong turned seven receptions into a career-high 194 yards and two touchdowns, with the yards marking the sixth-most in single-game program history.

Hissong parlayed his breakout 2019 season into first-team D3football.com Preseason All-America honors in 2020. In exhibition action this spring, Hissong caught three passes for 43 yards against Ohio Wesleyan University.
