All-Time Series: Wooster leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1906, 43-5. Wooster won the first meeting 95-0. The Scots have dominated the series of late, with victories in 17 of the last 18 meetings. Wooster logged a 23-game winning streak in the series from 1919-74. The Scots have scored at least 35 points in five of the last six games in the series played at John P. Papp Stadium.

Last Meeting in Series: Wooster football records tend to fall when the Scots visit Hiram, and that trend continued on September 10, 2022, when the Black and Gold more than doubled up the Terriers 49-21 at Charles A. Henry Field at Malmisur Stadium. Then-senior Mateo Renteria was the focal point of the record-breaking performances. He completed 27-of-43 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. The fifth-year starter surpassed Wooster alumnus Gary Muntean for most career passing yards in program history, and at the time, he was at 8,491 before ultimately finishing a standout career at 10,083. Renteria matched Muntean for the program record with 65 career passing touchdowns in the rout at Hiram. Defensively, Wooster's line bullied Hiram all afternoon, finishing with eight sacks on the day, including the final three plays of the game. Current senior linebacker Kobe Nadu (Summerville, Ga./Darlington School) was the lone Scot with multiple sacks in the game, and those set the Terriers back 19 yards.

Offense Notes: Sophomore Jarvis Mims Jr. (Baxley, Ga./Appling County) logged game two over 100 yards rushing this fall. Coincidentally, both times Mims Jr. has been over 100 yards have been games with at least 5.5 yards per carry and two rushing touchdowns. Wooster is 10th nationally in red zone offense, coming away with points on 92.6 percent of drives that reach the red zone. Sophomore quarterback Chanden Lee (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) is just over 400 passing yards shy of the top-10 season in program history.

Defense Notes: Senior defensive back Paul Thomas Fischer (King, N.C./South Stokes) moved into a tie for the conference lead with fumble recovery two of the year at Denison.  On the year, Wooster has seven fumble recoveries, one behind DePauw University for the conference lead, and a total that ranks 26th nationally. Sophomore Tate Journell (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) became the first Wooster player with multiple interceptions in a game since alumnus Beau Greenwood against DePauw in 2018. Sophomore defensive back Brock Sivon (Perry, Ohio/Perry) continues to lead the NCAC with 4.3 solo tackles per game.

Special Teams Notes: Senior Lake Barrett (Columbia, S.C./Hammond School) made career field goal 25 from 30 yards out in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game at Denison. Barrett is now in sole possession of second-place on the program's all-time leaderboard and is two field goals shy of the 27 Richie McNally drilled through the uprights from 2001-2004. Barrett is within seven points of a top-five program ranking. The senior has made all 34 kicks attempted this year with 30 extra points and four field goals.
