Chris Scheidt joined the Wooster staff in January 2015, following four seasons coaching at two other schools. He is in charge of the Fighting Scots’ wide receivers and special teams.

Scheidt spent the last three years at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he coached the wide receivers and tight ends and helped the Engineers to back-to-back 7-3 seasons, highlighted by the 2013 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. Seven all-conference citations were awarded to Scheidt’s receivers, and in 2014, Rose-Hulman rated No. 10 statistically in total offense (497.0 ypg) in NCAA Div. III, fifth in passing offense (345.8 ypg), and 14th in red-zone offense (.885).

Prior to that, Scheidt served as an offensive quality control coach and recruiting assistant at Div. I University of Cincinnati during the 2011-12 academic year.

Scheidt walked on as a wide receiver at Bowling Green State University and went on to participate in the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl and 2008 GMAC Bowl.

A native of southwestern Ohio, Scheidt holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Bowling Green and a master’s degree in recreation and sports management from Indiana State University.
