Five different College of Wooster players scored goals, as the Fighting Scots utilized a balanced effort and continued their strong late-season push with a 6-1 victory at North Coast Athletic Conference foe Oberlin College on Friday afternoon.

Wooster (9-8, 7-6 NCAC), which has averaged 4.4 goals over its last five games, struck less than 10 minutes into the action when Leah Prescott began her career-high five-point day with an assist on a Kerry O'Connor goal.

Later, the Fighting Scots took advantage of two of their five penalty corners in the first half. After receiving the corner hit at the top of the arc, Josie Rey one-touched the ball to Megan McGinley, who rifled the ball into the back of the cage for a 2-0 advantage, and right before halftime, McGinley passed to Prescott near the post with the latter converting the opportunity for a three-goal cushion.

Wooster scored another three goals during the second half, starting with Prescott finishing a breakaway opportunity with an assist courtesy of Nikki Sever. Oberlin (4-12, 3-9 NCAC) did break the scoring run, however, just 40 seconds later it was the Scots celebrating another goal, this one Sever touching in a pass from McGinley.

After starting the scoring, O'Connor finished it via another successful penalty corner, with Sever recording her second assist of the game and 11th of the season.

Meredith Farley went the distance in goal, recording three saves in the win.

Wooster will close the regular season next Saturday at home against Kenyon College (10-5, 8-3 NCAC) at noon.
