The North Coast Athletic Conference named five College of Wooster field hockey players to the 2017 All-Conference Team, including four first-time honorees, as announced by the league office on Thursday morning.

Junior Erika Womack marked Wooster's lone first-team selection. The midfielder out of Schwenksville, Pa. totaled a career-high in goals (8) and assists (3), with four goals coming in conference play. Womack tallied two game-winners, first in Wooster's 3-0 win over Transylvania University (Sept. 17) before tipping the scale in the Scots' favor during a 2-1 win at Ohio Wesleyan University (Oct. 7).

First-year Sydney Schuster, junior Rose Taylor, and first-year Katie Shideler represented Wooster's second-team selections.

Schuster, a forward from Ann Arbor, Mich., led the team in points (24) and goals (10) behind hat trick performances in the season opener against Wells College (Sept. 3) and the season finale against Oberlin College (28), both marking shutout victories. Schuster, who was named NCAC Player of the Week in week one after a three-goal, two-assist performance, recorded seven goals and two assists in conference play.

Taylor, a three-time all-conference midfielder, was promoted to the second-team after receiving honorable mention the prior two seasons. The junior out of Oak Park, Ill. started all 19 games and totaled two assists as one of the Scots' main transition players, including one against Wittenberg University (Oct. 14). Taylor's career assist count sits at nine in addition to her 10 goals.

Shideler contributed from day one as one of the league's leading goalkeepers, ranking first league-wide in total saves (138) and second in save percentage (.798) in addition to a top-five goals-against average (2.04). The Gibsonia, Pa. native totaled seven shutouts, five of which came in conference play, including a double-overtime 1-0 victory over eventual conference tournament champion Denison University (Sept. 13).

Senior Emma Roderick rounded out Wooster's selection as the lone honorable mention Scot honoree. The defender out of Southbury, Conn. started all 77 games during her four-year tenure and concluded her stellar career with a career-high six defensive saves in 2017, pushing her total to 15.

Wooster's five selections marked the most for the Scots since earning five nominations following the 2013 season.
