Erika Womack

Junior Erika Womack was named first-team All-Great Lakes Region by the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association, per an announcement by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

As Wooster's lone all-region selection, Womack, an attacking midfielder out of Schwenksville, Pa., totaled career-highs in goals (8) and assists (3), including four goals in North Coast Athletic Conference play.

A starter in all 18 games this year, Womack tallied two game-winners, first in Wooster's 3-0 win over non-conference opponent Transylvania University (Sept. 17) before scoring the clincher in the Wooster's 2-1 win at Ohio Wesleyan University (Oct. 7).

Earlier this fall, Womack earned her first career all-conference selection as a first-team midfielder. This year's all-region award also marks a career first.
