The College of Wooster field hockey team earned its 14th National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Team Academic Award over the last 15 years, while nine student-athletes were honored for academic achievement. These awards were announced in a series of releases by the coaches association over the last three weeks.

Senior Rose Taylor headlined the individual accolades by earning a fourth National Academic Squad certificate. Additionally, Taylor was joined by junior Grace O'Leary, sophomore Sammi Pavlecic, and first-year Eleanor Sudduth on the organization's prestigious Scholars of Distinction list, which honors student-athletes with a cumulative 3.90 GPA through the first semester of the 2018-19 school year.

Wooster's quartet were joined on the National Academic Squad by junior Emma Hambright, sophomore Caitlyn O'Connor, senior Katie Padavick, sophomore Katie Shideler, and junior Harriet Sudduth.

National Academic Squad membership is extended to student-athletes who maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Teams must turn in a collective GPA of at least 3.00 for the fall semester to qualify for the National Team Academic Award.
