The College of Wooster field hockey team placed two Fighting Scots on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference first-team for the first time since 2018, while in total, three members of the team earned all-conference honors. Senior Maddie Peek earned an elevation to first-team All-NCAC and was joined there by sophomore Cate Barkdoll, while sophomore Mary Johnson debuted on the all-conference squad as a second-team selection.

Peek started all 13 games and ranked third on the team with 14 points. The two-time all-conference performer passed out a team-leading six assists and ranked third on the squad with four goals. Peek's 14 points marked a career-high, as did the six assists, while the four goals matched the senior's 2022 total. Peek scored three times during an 8-0 conference win over Oberlin College and had a hand in three of Wooster's four goals in a non-conference game against the Yeowomen in early October.

Barkdoll currently ranks 14th nationally in goals-against average and led Wooster to a current ranking of fourth nationally in shutout percentage. The sophomore led a defense that allowed the second-fewest goals within the NCAC, and among qualifying goalkeepers (minimum 600 minutes played), Barkdoll is second league-wide in goals-against average and second in save percentage (.791). Barkdoll helped Wooster to eight shutouts on the year, with that marking the team's top total since 2006.

Johnson transitioned to a starting back role and was instrumental in Wooster's offensive success, much of which came on penalty corners. Johnson's nine goals were tied for the team lead. The two-time NCAC Athlete of the Week opened the year with three goals in a 5-0 win at Nazareth University and had a second three-goal afternoon in a 5-1 win over NCAC affiliate member Transylvania University in late October.

Wooster went 9-4 this fall, which included a 6-4 mark in conference play. The team logged its first winning record since 2018.
