Kenny DeBoer produced 11 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double, leading the No. 12 ranked College of Wooster to another decisive North Coast Athletic Conference win, this time 89-62 Friday night at Kenyon College.

Wooster (7-1, 4-0 NCAC), now with an average margin of victory of 23.8 points through four conference games, set the tone early with a 10-3 run, capped by a old-fashioned three-point play from DeBoer that resulted in a 17-9 advantage a little more than five minutes into the action.

After Kenyon (5-5, 1-3 NCAC) worked its way back, pulling within 22-18, the Fighting Scots called a timeout. They responded with 12 unanswered points, a 3-pointer by Scott Purcell, followed by five-straight points via Jalen Goodwin, two courtesy of Xavier Brown, and two from Doug Thorpe.

Wooster maintained that 16-point lead (34-18) through halftime (40-24).

In the second, the Scots scored the first four points to make it a 20-point margin and they stayed in control throughout, leading by as much as 28 (64-36) and eventually securing the 27-point victory.

Wooster outshot its hosts 46.6 percent (34-of-73) to 38.6 percent (22-of-57) and outrebounded them by 16 (51-35).

DeBoer's 11 boards were a career best and his 11 points a season high, and he was one of four in double figures for the Scots. The guard trio of Brown, Goodwin, and Thorpe put up matching totals of 15 points.

In addition to DeBoer's big rebounding night, Josh Claytor and Jake Mays added nine apiece, with Claytor also credited for three steals.

Next, Wooster heads to Lexington, Ky., where it will be part of Transylvania University's Don Lane Classic on Dec. 18-19.
