Back-to-Back Career-High Point Outings Lands Dupler as NCAC Player of the Week

 Reece Dupler

The College of Wooster's Reece Dupler has made a big impact since being inserted into the starting lineup four games ago, and the North Coast Athletic Conference has taken notice by tabbing the guard as the NCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

Dupler, the first freshman in the conference to earn the men's basketball weekly honor this season, had a pair of strong games last week. First, he scored a career-high 17 points during Wednesday's high-scoring win, 101-88 over Kenyon College. Then, on Saturday, he upped his output to 18 points on 9-for-11 shooting in an 82-75 come-from-behind victory at Denison University.

Of note, Dupler is averaging 15.3 points since earning a starting spot. Additionally, he is the first freshman from Wooster recognized with the conference's weekly accolade since Justin Hallowell  in 2008.

Wooster (16-5, 12-2 NCAC) returns to action with an 8 p.m. tilt at Hiram College (15-6, 9-5 NCAC) Wednesday.
