Dan Fanelly

After turning in one of the top offensive seasons in program history, senior Dan Fanelly of The College of Wooster was named to the D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Third Team, the website announced this week.

Fanelly became the sixth Fighting Scot to surpass 500 points in a season, and in fact, his 542 points rank 11th on the tradition-rich program's single-season scoring list. For the season the forward averaged 19.4 points per game, a total ranked ninth in the Great Lakes season this season.

Offensively, Fanelly connected on a 61.9 percent (190-for-307) of his field goals, including an impressive 41.2 percent (28-for-68) from beyond the arc. At the charity stripe, Fanelly sank nearly 79 percent (134-for-170) of his free throws.

An all-around contributor, Fanelly led Wooster in assists (89) and steals (42) while rating third in rebounds (149) and blocks (22).

Wooster's now had at least one D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region honoree in each of the 16 years the website's distributed all-region honors.

Wooster went 21-8 this season.
