Members of the campus and Wooster community are invited to watch the NCAA Div. III Championships Selection Show with The College of Wooster men's basketball team on Monday afternoon at the Lowry Center on campus. The team will begin gathering at around 12:15 p.m. in the Lowry Pit, located next to the Wilson Bookstore. The selection show is slated to start at 1 p.m. on NCAA.com, per the update sent by the NCAA at 12:15 p.m. At 1 p.m., a link to watch the selection show will be available on the NCAA Div. III men's basketball landing page for those unable to attend.

Wooster is hoping to see its name called as one of the 21 Pool C (at-large) teams, as Wittenberg University earned the North Coast Athletic Conference's automatic berth by virtue of winning last week's NCAC Tournament. Should the Scots make the field, it'll mark the 16th consecutive NCAA Tournament berth for Wooster, and extend a Div. III record already held by the Scots.

If Wooster makes the championship field, it'll mark the Scots 27th overall appearance in the Div. III national tourney, which ranks third all-time. Wittenberg is making its co-leading 28th national tournament appearance, and the University of Scranton also has 28, but will not be a part of this year's field. Wooster is looking to extend the nation's sixth-longest active stretch of tournaments as only the University of Kansas (27), Duke University (21), Michigan State University (19), Gonzaga University (18), and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (18) – all Div. I programs – have longer active streaks than Wooster.
