NCAC All-Conference Release

The College of Wooster's trio of junior Reece Dupler, sophomore Danyon Hempy, and senior Spencer Williams were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team, with Williams earning a first-team certificate and Dupler and Hempy both collecting second-team accolades, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Williams, who was elevated back to the first-team after earning second-team laurels last year, is the 20th Fighting Scot to earn All-NCAC honors three times during his career. The guard, who was a first-team honoree as a sophomore, ranked seventh in the conference in scoring during league play at 15.9 points per night. The senior's 2.8 assists per NCAC tilt and 1.2 steals over the 18 league games placed Williams in the top 10 in both categories.

Dupler, now a two-time all-conference selection after a honorable mention nod last year, was one of 12 players in the NCAC to average at least 14 points per night during regular-season league play. The guard connected at 52.9 percent (99-for-187) from the floor during 16 regular-season NCAC contests, a percentage sixth in the conference and tops among guards. The junior finished just outside the top 10 in assists and steals.

Hempy's uptick in contributions down the stretch of the regular-season parlayed into the sophomore earning his first all-conference honor. The guard averaged nearly 21 points per game over the last six regular-season contests, and during that span, he logged 16 assists, 15 steals, and 11 blocked shots. The sophomore's 16.1 points per game rated as the fifth-most in league play, and he was second in steals per game (1.6) and third in blocked shots (1.3) during the conference's regular-season.

Of note, Wooster's now had at least three student-athletes honored on the all-conference team in each of the last 15 years.
