Randy "Ranger" Worrell

  • Title:
    Volunteer Asst. Coach

Randy “Ranger” Worrell, a familiar face around The College of Wooster men’s basketball program, recently rejoined the Fighting Scots' staff. Worrell instructs both varsity and jayvee players during practices and games, while aiding in game preparation, scouting the opposition, and providing additional help in the area of recruiting.

Worrell’s previously held a variety of roles with Wooster’s tradition-rich program, and has been involved with the Scots in some capacity in nearly every season since the 1990-91 campaign.

A stellar student-athlete in his own right, Worrell was a three-sport standout at Riverdale High School, near Findlay, Ohio, most notably in baseball, where his team made an appearance at the state tournament his junior year.

Worrell attended Rio Grande University, then a college at the time, and he graduated with a degree in drafting.
