Wooster Continues Fall Slate at Yellow Jacket Invitational

The College of Wooster men's golf team continued its fall slate, taking on a trio of Ohio Athletic Conference institutions on Saturday in the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace University at Grey Hawk Golf Club in LaGrange, Ohio.

The University of Mount Union shot a 317 in the 18-hole tournament to win by two strokes over John Carroll University. Baldwin Wallace finished third with Wooster rounding out the field at 340.

Brenden Tully fired the low round of the day for the Fighting Scots. The sophomore carded an 82 to tie for 12th. The College had two golfers fired 83s to tie for 15th in senior Marcus Carano and first-year Charlie Holt, who was playing as an individual.

First-year Andrew DeLaat turned in the third-lowest round of the day by the lineup. He shot an 87 to tie for 22nd. Senior Calvin Milligan added an 88 to tie for 24th while first-year Ric Reynolds placed 26th with an 89.

The Purple Raiders' Michael Kelly claimed medalist honors at 2-over-par.
