The College of Wooster men's golf team raised the bar even more in the final round of the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, and that equated to a fourth-place finish on Sunday, in what marked the highest showing for the Fighting Scots since 2013.

Wooster's 307 over the final 18 holes was good for the fourth-lowest team score of the day, and that was enough to elevate the Scots above Kenyon College by two strokes.

Senior Andrew DeLaat was at the forefront of Wooster's Sunday charge at the par-72, 6,910-yard Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio. The Medina, Ohio, native capped his standout collegiate career with a 75. That marked the Scots' low round of the day. DeLaat finished in a tie for 21st-place at 155.

Jimmy Hinton's steady play over the 36-hole championship earned the junior a spot on the all-conference team. Hinton came in at 76 for the second straight day and tied for 13th-place.

Classmate Evan Ferrara finished in a tie for 16th-place, and just missed on all-conference honors. The Scots' No. 1 had a 78 on his final card of the season to give him a 154 for the championship.

Junior Evan Jenkins shot a 78 for the second straight day and tied for 24th-place, while sophomore David Roney tied for 28th-place at 158.

Fourth-ranked Wittenberg University shot a remarkable 7-under-par 281 to surge from fourth-place to first-place at 583. Ohio Wesleyan University finished second at 592, while Allegheny College's 605 was the third-place score.

The Tigers' Cameron Willis earned the Bob Nye Award, which goes to the medalist of the NCAC Championships. He finished at 4-under-par.
