Scots Set to "Crosse Out Cancer!" on Oct. 12

Crosse Out Cancer!

The College of Wooster will take part in "Crosse out Cancer!" next month, where the Fighting Scots will participate in a college lacrosse showcase along with several other NCAA programs to benefit the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at Cleveland Clinic.

Since 2010, Burning River Lacrosse has hosted an annual event to raise funds for breast cancer research. This year, it has teamed up with the Cleveland Clinic with a goal to raise over $17,500.

Wooster will join 12 other schools spanning NCAA Div. I, II, and III for a day of lacrosse action, while also showing support and raising awareness for a worthy cause. "The teams are paired up on the field to show their talents, have some fun, and reach out and make a difference in the lives of others in the community," according to Burning River Lacrosse.

The Scots want to encourage their fans to attend the event, which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12 at Hawken School's Walton Stadium in Chesterland, Ohio. Gates open at 9:30 a.m., and Wooster will play against Lake Erie College at 10:30 a.m. and Walsh University at 12:30 p.m.
