WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster cruised past first-year program Wabash College, 27-2, and were remarkably balanced in doing so, as 20 different players scored goals to help the Fighting Scots overwhelm the Little Giants in North Coast Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at John P. Papp Stadium.

It was the Scots' (4-1, 1-0 NCAC) most lopsided win in 13 years, as the 25-point victory margin was the most since a 28-1 win against Washington & Jefferson College during the 2002 season.

Once Wooster built a 16-0 cushion at the halftime break, it emptied the bench, allowing 12 newcomers to notch their first career goals. That group consisted of Erik Barroso, Alexander Bloom, Aidan Crowe, Mike Flynn, Jack Gilio, Desmond Hughes, Mike Kahl, Nathaniel Miller, Jonah Singer, Jack Templeton, Xavier Torrey, and Spencer Wood.

Pacing the offensive explosion in the early parts of the game was Pat Henderson, who racked up all five of his points (4 goals, 1 assist) during the opening 20:52, while Tom Herold chipped in three goals – finishing off his hat trick late in the first quarter.

Wooster was just as balanced on defense, as 15 players caused a turnover, including two apiece for Sean Hohan and Trevor Thomas. The Scots' face-off unit went 22-of-33 (.667), with Barroso's 10 wins and six groundballs standing out on the stat sheet.

Finally, Wooster was able to give all four of its goalkeepers playing time, as starter Ben Grombala pitched a shutout in the first half, freshman Tyler LaCroix handled the third quarter and made a team-high four saves, and sophomore Hunter Ligo and first-year Noah Parker split duties in the fourth quarter.

Next up, the Scots host Otterbein University (4-1), which nipped them by an 8-6 margin last season, on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
