Three members of The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team were recognized on the 2015 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team, with freshman long-stick midfielder Jack Gilio and senior midfielder Pat Henderson voted second-team and senior attacker Tom Herold honorable mention, as announced by the NCAC on Thursday.

Gilio, also a member of the Fighting Scots' football team, assumed a key role during his debut season. He was a regular part of the face-off unit, sprinting in from the side to help Wooster gain possession, and defensively, he often guarded the opposition's top midfielder. Statistically, Gilio collected 41 groundballs – the third-most on the team – and tallied 14 caused turnovers, while helping hold NCAC opponents to under 10 goals a game on average (9.5). He frequently cleared the ball into the attack zone and sometimes got involved on offense, adding two goals and an assist.

Henderson, fueled by a strong finish to the year, was the Scots' top goal scorer with 34, which is tied for the fifth-most in the conference. Twenty of his goals came during the last five games, as he scored a career-high six twice, coming at DePauw University on April 4 and at Albion College April 14, and netted hat tricks against rival Wittenberg University and No. 19 ranked Denison University, plus added a two-goal, one-assist effort in a match-up with No. 4 Ohio Wesleyan University. The latter was one of five assists on the season as he totaled 39 points as well as 13 groundballs.

Herold, now a two-time all-NCAC award winner, served as Wooster's top scorer, firing in 24 goals and distributing 27 assists for 51 points. He ranks as the seventh-leading scorer in the league (3.19 ppg), with the 27 assists being the third-highest total in the NCAC. Herold was steady, tallying at least one goal and one assist in 11 of 16 games, highlighted by a three-goal, four-assist performance at Centre College on March 11 and a three-goal, three-assist line in the Wittenberg game exactly one month later. For his career, Herold finished with 162 career points (95 goals, 67 assists).

As a team, the Scots went 9-7 overall, including a seven-game win streak, for their third consecutive winning season. Within the NCAC (3-5), Wooster lost a pair of heartbreakers, one by one goal and another by two, which ultimately cost it a spot in the postseason.
