Herold’s Offensive Effort Garners NCAC Player-of-the-Week Recognition

Josh Herold

The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team is 5-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play for the first time in program history and senior Josh Herold has been a key part of that effort, evidenced by last week's nine-point total in a two-game span en route to NCAC Player-of-the-Week honors, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

The senior helped lead the Fighting Scots (9-5, 5-0 NCAC) to an 11-6 win over Kenyon College in the midweek match-up before topping DePauw University 11-9 on Saturday. Against Kenyon, Herold scored four of Wooster's 11 goals and double-downed that effort with a five-point performance (three goals, two assists) at DePauw.

Herold is now sixth all-time in program history in career points (179) and is three goals away from entering the program's all-time top-10 list in goals scored.

Wooster hosts ninth-ranked Denison University on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at John P. Papp Stadium.
