Peirce's Monster Contributions in Saturday's Win Land Scots' Rookie as NCAC Athlete-of-the-Week

First-year Shaun Peirce delivered a 10-point performance during The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team's 24-13 win over Hiram College on Saturday, and the North Coast Athletic Conference office took notice and tabbed the Fighting Scots' rookie as the NCAC Athlete-of-the-Week, as announced on Monday afternoon.

Peirce's 10 points came on six goals and four assists in the win, and he added three more points in Wooster's midweek non-conference tilt at Saint John Fisher College with two assists and a goal. The rookie sensation needed just eight shot attempts on Saturday to find the back of the net six times, and the North Attleboro, Mass. native now finds himself in a three-way tie for second on the team in goals at 17.

Peirce, and his Wooster (6-3, 2-0 NCAC) teammates, are back in action against Oberlin College (5-3, 0-2 NCAC) on Friday in an 8 p.m. prime time tilt at John P. Papp Stadium.
