For the second season in a row, The College of Wooster and John Carroll University played a one-goal game, but this time the Blue Streaks tripped up the Fighting Scots by a 2-1 count in the northeast Ohio foes' match-up Thursday night at Don Shula Stadium in University Hts., Ohio.

Wooster (1-4), which edged John Carroll 3-2 during a back-and-forth overtime affair a year ago, struck early Thursday, as Matt Ehrenburg scored in the 11th minute. It marked the sophomore's first goal this fall and the second of his career.

That score held up as the lone one of the first half, however, just 37 seconds into the second, John Carroll (4-1) tied it at one. The Blue Streaks built on that momentum with another goal, which turned out to be the decisive one, about 20 minutes later.

Shortly thereafter, the Scots earned a series of corner kicks, three to be exact, but they were unable to notch the equalizer.

Defensively, Matthew Canter and Aaron McKee split time in goal again, with the former posting one save in the first half and the latter three during the second.

Next, Wooster will make its 2013 home debut Saturday night against Capital University (3-1-2).
