Matt Naticchia delivered a game-winning goal 3:10 into overtime to lift The College of Wooster to a dramatic victory for the second time in four days, this time 3-2 at rival Wittenberg University in a North Coast Athletic Conference men's soccer affair Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Ohio.

Wooster (4-9-1, 2-5-0 NCAC), which was coming off a 1-0 win Tuesday night with the lone goal coming with just 1:38 remaining in regulation, never trailed against Wittenberg (5-11-1, 1-5-1 NCAC), but it took until the first shot of the extra session to claim the victory.

For Naticchia, a senior who played defender for most of his career but has moved up the field recently, it marked his first collegiate goal. Early in overtime, he emerged from a scrum in front of the net and drove the ball in, with Noah Wagemann credited with an assist on the play.

The first two halves played out similarly, with the Fighting Scots scoring early and then the Tigers tying it up shortly thereafter. In the 15th minute, Philip Charnley headed in a bending cross into the box from George Skelly for the junior forward's second goal in as many games. Wittenberg emerged from a scrum with a score about five minutes later to even it 1-1.

About 20 minutes into the second half, Wooster's Lucas Hunt dribbled in from the left wing and beat the Tiger 'keeper to the near post. It was the sophomore transfer's first goal for the Black and Gold. A little less than seven minutes later, Wittenberg knotted the score again, driving in a 40-yard free kick to the upper right 90.

The Scots' two goalies, Matthew Canter and Aaron McKee, combined for six saves in the win.

Wooster will look to keep rolling at Hiram College (5-11-1, 2-5-0 NCAC) on Wednesday night.
