Junior Philip Charnley was a difference maker in The College of Wooster men's soccer team's wins over Allegheny College and Wittenberg University last week, as he scored in both games, and the North Coast Athletic Conference awarded him as the Player-of-the-Week in his respective sport, as was announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

Charnley's first goal of the season, and second of his career, came during the final moments of a scoreless game with Allegheny on Tuesday, as he blasted in the game-winner with just 1:38 remaining in regulation to give the Fighting Scots their first conference victory of the year.

Then in an eventual 3-2 overtime win against archrival Wittenberg on Saturday, Charnely opened up the scoring by heading a cross past the goalkeeper to put Wooster ahead 1-0 in the 15th minute.

The Scots will look to continue their late-season surge with a win at Hiram College on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
