Junior Lucas Hunt helped lead The College of Wooster men's soccer team to two wins last week with some key plays on the offensive end of the field, which earned him North Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week honors, the league office announced Monday.

Hunt was voted to the all-conference team last year for his efforts as a defender, but is playing a midfield position this season, where he is developing into one of the Fighting Scots' top scoring threats.

Earlier in the week in Wooster's home opener against Bluffton University, Hunt broke a tie with a sliding goal in the 86th minute that went down as the game-winner in a 2-1 victory.

Then over the weekend in a tilt with Earlham College, Hunt was credited with an assist on the Scots' lone score, as he delivered a corner kick that resulted in a header goal which gave Wooster its 1-0 triumph.

Hunt, who paces the team in shot attempts (8) and points (4), will lead Wooster (3-1) into Wednesday night's match-up against Heidelberg University (2-1-1) under the lights at John P. Papp Stadium. The action kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
