The College of Wooster men's soccer team outshot La Roche College by four, but couldn't keep up with the host Redhawks on the scoreboard as the Fighting Scots dropped their second 3-0 road game of the week, this time at Pittsburgh, Pa., on Saturday afternoon.

It was Wooster's (3-4-1) final non-league match of the season.

La Roche (6-2) scored on its first shot of the match, coming in the ninth minute, then the Scots controlled possession most of the rest of the first half with seven shots – three by Zach Jergan – but none found the back of the net.

It remained 1-0 until 6:21 into the second when the Redhawks headed in a corner kick and they added another about 10 minutes later for the final margin.

In addition to a 14-10 shot advantage, Wooster had six corner kicks to La Roche's two, and individually, Jergan recorded a game-high four shots.

The Scots have some time to regroup for their North Coast Athletic Conference opener next Saturday, when they welcome nationally-ranked Ohio Wesleyan University to John P. Papp Stadium at 3:30.
