WOOSTER, Ohio – A pair of goals by Oberlin College's John Ingham during the last five minutes of the first half accounted for the lone scoring, as The College of Wooster dropped a 2-0 decision in the teams' North Coast Athletic Conference match-up Saturday night at John P. Papp Stadium

In an otherwise close first half – Oberlin (7-3, 1-1 NCAC) finished with a 5-4 shot advantage – the Yeomen broke through twice in the closing minutes. First, they made a deep run into the box from the right side and their cross near the end line deflected off of a defender and back to Ingham, who chipped it over the 'keeper and under the cross bar to make it 1-0 with 4:45 on the clock.

At the 2:04 mark, Wooster (2-8-1, 0-2-0 NCAC) was whistled for a foul in the box and Ingham converted the ensuing penalty kick for his 11th goal of the season.

Daniel Quinn, the Scots' goalie, kept it a two-goal margin with a pair of saves on point-blank shots during the 61st minute.

Offensively, Wooster's Abdoul-Ahad Sene and Austin Russell each had a pair of close misses, Sene on a header in the 70th minute and Russell on a 35-yard blast in the 83rd minute.

Next Saturday, the Scots host current No. 1 ranked Kenyon College (8-1, 1-1 NCAC) at 4 p.m.
