The College of Wooster men's tennis team was extremely close to picking up a victory Saturday, but a couple three-setters that went Ohio Wesleyan University's way were the difference, as the Battling Bishops snuck away with a 5-4 win on Sunday afternoon at the D.J. Hard Memorial Courts in Wooster, Ohio.

Singles action was extremely competitive between these two teams, as three matches needed a third set to award a victor. One of those matches was at No. 4 singles, where Jacob Pine lost the opening set, but rallied back to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The other three-setters came at the second and third-spots in the lineup, as Harrison Suttle and Landon Moore each took the second set from their opponent, but came up just short in the end.

Wooster's other victories in singles action were at No. 5, where Jack Buchan won 6-1, 6-4, and at No. 6, where Paul Thomas improved to 8-2 with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 triumph. In doubles, Buchan and Davis Elkins took down their opponent 8-4, while the other two doubles matches were won by the Bishops, although they were both decided by three or less games.

The Fighting Scots (6-6) will be at home again tomorrow afternoon hosting Muskingum University (0-4) at 4 p.m.
