Wooster (10-10) almost started with a sweep in doubles, as Willy Nelson-Harrison Suttle won at the second spot, 8-3, and Milo Saurman-Davis Elkins took their match, 8-4, at No. 3, but Titas Bera and Jack Buchan were edged out in a marathon at the top of the order, 9-8 (8-6).
With a 2-1 lead entering singles, Jacob Pine was the first Scot to finish an opponent, with a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at the third position.
Next, No. 4 Buchan took down his challenger 6-3, 6-4, and shortly after, Suttle clinched the match with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 2.
Wooster, which entered the NCAC tourney as the No. 7 seed, lost to nationally-ranked DePauw University by a 5-0 count during Friday's opening round, although it took 15 games off the Tigers, with 11 coming in doubles play.
