Suttle, the No. 5 singles player, ultimately clinched the match with a 7-1 third-set tiebreaker. The Fighting Scots' lone senior won his opening set 7-5 before dropping the second 6-3. Suttle trailed 4-1 in the third set before rallying back to win, capped by the decisive breaker.

Wooster carried a 2-1 edge into singles play. Titas Bera and Jack Buchan came away with an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles, and the Scots also received an 8-3 count from Davis Elkins and Vilius Sulnis at No. 3.

Next, Sulnis and first-year Kieran McTague pushed the Scots to within one of securing the victory with 6-2, 6-0 and 6-3, 7-5 triumphs at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively. McTague maintained strong composure in his collegiate debut, rallying back from a 1-4 deficit in the second set.

Walsh rallied to equal the match at four before Suttle emerged as the hero.

Wooster continues its busy week with a 4 p.m. dual match at the University of Mount Union on Friday.
