The College of Wooster men's tennis team fell to 28th-ranked Denison University in the quarterfinals of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Friday morning at the Wynne Tennis Center in Indianapolis, Ind.
Wooster (8-14), which was seeded seventh in the eight-team field, turned in a strong showing at No. 1 doubles, but senior Titas Bera and junior Jesse DeWitt were upended by Blake Burstein and Kevin Brown 8-5.
Denison's (10-11) Jamie McDonald and Mitchell Thai bested sophomore Nathan Devereux and first-year Joaquin Abos Amo 8-2 in second doubles, and the Big Red won 8-1 in the third flight.
The Big Red's Patrick McGuigan and John Purnode clinched the match with wins at fourth and sixth singles.
Wooster takes on Allegheny College (10-8) in the seventh-place match on Saturday, April 28 at 9 a.m.
