Doubles in Action at Kenyon Invite

GAMBIER, Ohio – The College of Wooster men's tennis team competed in the Kenyon Invitational this weekend. No team scoring was kept, and only doubles play on Saturday was recorded.

Wooster had a different team compete in separate brackets.

Joaquin Abos Amo and Nathan Devereux competed in the flight B bracket and lost both their matches. In the flight C bracket, Jesse DeWitt and Austin Hanna took a first round 8-5 win over Kenyon but fell to Case 8-2 in the next match as Case would go on to win the bracket.

In the flight D bracket, Alon Liberman and Nebyou Minassie fell in the first match to Denison 8-3 but won the next consolation match against John Carroll. However, Earlham would get the better of the duo in the next match 8-6.

In the flight E bracket, Ben Schrock and Wyatt Brugge fell to John Carroll 8-1 in the first match. They then advanced to the consolation final after a win over Ohio Wesleyan in the semis but fell to Denison 8-2.

Next, the men will compete in the Oberlin Invitational on Sept. 15.
