Walsh University of Division II defeated The College of Wooster men's tennis team 8-1 on Sunday.
The Scots' No. 2 doubles team of Shivam Dewan and Jeremy Williams captured the team's lone win.
Dewan and Williams won in an exciting tiebreaker, 8-7 (8-6), to close doubles play. The No. 3 team of Connor Streeter and Grayson Millette put up a fight in an 8-5 loss, and the No. 1 team of Austin Hanna and Nebyou Minassie fell 8-2.
In singles play, Minassie was the only Scot not to fall in straight sets. He forced a shortened third set but ultimately fell 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-2).
At No. 1 singles, Hanna lost to Jakob Riglewski 6-2, 6-1. Dewan took a 6-3, 6-1 loss in the No. 2 flight.
Williams took a 6-2, 6-1 loss in the No. 4 flight. Streeter fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5, and Milette lost 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 flight.
The match concludes the fall schedule for the Scots. They went 1-1 in dual matches.
