The College of Wooster wrapped up its 2015 season against the toughest team on its schedule, as the Fighting Scots dropped a pair to regionally-ranked DePauw University, 9-1 and 4-0, on Sunday in North Coast Athletic Conference action at DePauw Tigers Field in Greencastle, Ind.

The Scots (15-21, 5-11 NCAC) were competitive at times during the doubleheader, including early in the opening game. Through three innings, DePauw (25-12, 14-2 NCAC) was ahead just 3-0, and then Wooster drew even closer.

Stephenie Little got the Scots' productive fourth inning started with a single to right field, and then Jenna Kendall smashed a double to left, which put runners on second and third.

Next up was Demi Hart, who hit a sacrifice fly to deep center to pull Wooster within 3-1.

That was all the damage the Scots could muster, as the Tigers delivered three runs in the bottom of the fourth and another three in the fifth frame, on their way to a 9-1 run-rule victory.

One player that had success in the opener was Skye Patterson, who went 2-for-2 at the plate against Kahla Nolan, while the rest of the team was just 2-for-17.

Wooster held DePauw's offense in check during the second game, thanks in large part to pitcher Rylee Bouillion, who was making her first start of the season. Bouillion scattered 10 hits, with eight going for singles, and allowed just two earned runs over six solid innings.

The Scots weren't able to provide Bouillion any run support, though, as they were limited to just five hits over seven frames, with Paige Goldberg's two doubles standing out on the scorebook.
