Eight members of The College of Wooster softball team garnered All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, as announced by the Louisville, Ky. organization earlier this week.

Fighting Scot honorees for the 2016-17 academic year included sophomore Morgan Bailey, senior Anna Blake, junior Autumn Brostek, alumna Linea Brouse, sophomore Savanna Hitlan, alumna Jenna Kendall, sophomore Marina Roski, and junior Bridget Serrurier as part of a record-setting class which included over 7,300 honorees across seven membership divisions, including 1,825 in NCAA Div. III.

To qualify, student-athletes need to have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and maintain varsity status. Wooster was one of three North Coast Athletic Conference programs to be honored, with eight honorees standing tied for most by a league peer (Oberlin).
