Four Join Wooster's Coaching Staff

Sean Lawlor, Anna Truong, Allison Murphy, Michele Davison The College of Wooster Athletics Department is pleased to announce the addition of volunteer assistant coaches Michele Davison (softball), Sean Lawlor (baseball), Allison Murphy (women's and men's tennis), and Anna Truong (women's lacrosse).

Davison, a three-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference pitcher is reuniting with head coach Victoria Rumph. Davison was a graduate assistant at Youngstown State University during Rumph's playing days. Davison has high school coaching experience at Wellington High School and Firelands High School.            

Upon graduation, Davison was Findlay's all-time leader in games pitched (99), innings pitched (532), and ranked second in strikeouts (277). She still ranks in the top four in all categories. Davison pitched 153 1/3 innings as a senior, which at the time marked the third-most in single-season program history.

Professionally, Davison is a pelvic health physical therapist at NovaCare Rehabilitation in Medina and Oberlin. She earned a doctorate in physical therapy from University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences, a master's in biology from Youngstown State, and a bachelor's in education from Findlay.

Davison lives in Wellington with husband, Aaron, and children, Elliott, Kevin, Harvey, and Nolan.

Lawlor arrived at the College following a year coaching Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy in Florida. Lawlor will work with the outfielders and hitters.

As a professional, Lawlor played for the Lake Erie Crushers in the Frontier League in 2023, where he was an infielder. In 2022, Lawlor played for the Eastside Diamond Hoppers in the United Shore Professional Baseball League.

In College, Lawlor earned first-team all-conference honors at the University of Maine and all-conference laurels at Flagler College, where he was a three-year starter before moving on to Maine as a graduate transfer. As a graduate transfer, Lawlor hit .350 (55-for-157) over 44 starts, and had 37 RBI, 35 runs, nine doubles, and seven home runs. In 2019, Lawlor earned most valuable player honors from the Futures Collegiate League.

Originally from Florida, Lawlor earned an MBA from Maine and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Flagler.

Murphy works at Aspen Racquet Club as a teaching instructor and assists at the front desk.

In high school, Murphy was a sectional champion as a senior, team captain, and three-year letterwinner at nearby Chippewa High School, where she continues to volunteer as a high school coach, a summer camp instructor, and aids with the recently-started middle school program.

Murphy is finishing up undergraduate studies at Kent State University, where she is an early childhood education major.

Truong, a four-year letterwinner at Wooster, played in 30 career games and finished with 15 goals, eight groundballs, five caused turnovers and four assists. As a senior, Truong scored a career-high nine goals, with two coming in a win over Trine University. Truong found the back of the net twice in a win over Virginia Wesleyan University.

Truong graduated from the College in 2023 with a degree in mathematics. Professionally, Truong is an analytics associate in the College's information and planning office.
