Conner Gelwicks

The College of Wooster senior Conner Gelwicks earned men's swimming and diving North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete-of-the-Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

It is the third time in his career that Gelwicks has earned the award, after being named twice during the 2015-16 season.

Gelwicks claimed triple-win honors after posting top times in the 200 individual medley (2:07.91) and 100 backstroke (55.42), in addition to earning a title in the 200 medley relay (1:41.04) as Wooster played host to rival Wittenberg University on Saturday at Timken Natatorium.

The Fighting Scots went on to defeat the Tigers 125-80 to open their 2016-17 dual meet slate.

Wooster returns to action against Oberlin College at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Timken Natatorium.
