Case Western Reserve University continues to lead the 11-team field with 1,230 points on the men's side, and 1,273.5 points in the women's standings.

Junior Cameron Gelwicks turned in a time of 1:40.81 in the prelims of the 200 freestyle to reclaim the school record in the event.

Gelwicks, who originally broke Wooster's 200 free record at the 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships only to see it bested by teammate Ryan Campbell this past winter, turned in the top time of 1:40.81 in the prelim session to move back into the top spot on the program leaderboard. Sticking with the women, the Scots had a strong showing in the 100 butterfly with a trio of championship heat placers. Senior Maggie Layde led the trio to the wall with a 58.27, a time that was quickly backed up with the third-place clip of 58.94 turned in by junior Kalla Sturonas. First-year Anne Bowers rounded out the championship heat finishers with the eighth-place time of 1:00.23 after a stellar 59.66 in the preliminary heats earlier in the day.

Later on, the Scots' quartet of first-year Lexi Riley-DiPaolo, senior Sarah Padrutt, Layde, and Fiske capped Friday's session with a 7:57.80 in the 800 free relay, good for runner-up honors.

Other top-eight showing on the women's side included the Scots' fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:50.16), consisting of first-years Hannah Langer and Brooke Brown, Sturonas, and Riley-DiPaolo, sophomore Alison Hsu's fourth-place time of 4:46.35 in the 400 individual medley, Padrutt's sixth-place clip of 1:57.36 in the 200 free, and Langer's 1:00.97 in the 100 backstroke, good for an eighth-place finish.

Switching back to the men, junior Garrett Layde went 4:11.17 in the 400 IM to place fourth, and his time marked the second-fastest in the event in program history trailing only Ryan Radtke's 2009 time of 4:08.52.

The Scots' added a fourth-place finish in the 100 fly, and that came from sophomore Trey Schopen, who turned in a 51.96 in the evening session. In fact, Schopen returned later on in the 100 back to win the bonus heat with a career-best 53.69, and he slid up from 10th to eighth on the program's top-10 list.

Junior Griffin Campbell rounded out the men's championship heat finishers with a 1:00.24 in the 100 breaststroke, good for eighth-place.

The Scots added a pair of top-six relays on the night, including the 800 free relay, where Gelwicks, Koch, first-year Wyatt Foss, and Ryan Campbell teamed up for a fourth-place effort at 6:59.62.
