The College of Wooster swim teams got back in the pool over the weekend for the first time since December, and senior Cameron Gelwicks promptly took home North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week honors.

The men split a pair of dual meets Friday and Saturday, falling to 32nd-ranked John Carroll University 146-95 but rebounding the next day with a 136-94 win over Ohio Wesleyan University. Against John Carroll, Gelwicks swam a 1:44.10 to take first in the 200 freestyle. He was a part of the 200 medley relay squad who placed second in a time of 1:38.70, and Gelwicks placed second in the 500 free with a time of 4:48.64.

Against Ohio Wesleyan, the senior posted a winning time of 10:09.58 in the 1,000 freestyle, which marked the 10th fastest time in program history. Gelwicks now has a top-10 time in five different individual events, two of which are school records.

Gelwicks was also a part of the 400 freestyle relay team who won with a time of 3:18.69. He placed second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.80.
